By registering, browsing, subscribing, or otherwise using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

We collect information necessary to operate a secure matrimonial service:

• Account & Profile Data: Name, email, mobile number, gender, date of birth, religion, caste, community, education, occupation, income, location, photographs, partner preferences, and bio details you voluntarily provide.
• Identity & KYC Data: Government-issued identification (such as Aadhaar, PAN, or passport), verification photographs, and documents submitted for profile verification.
• Payment & Billing Data: Subscription plan selected, transaction IDs, payment status, billing name, billing email, and limited payment metadata processed by our payment partners. We do not store full card numbers, CVV, or UPI PIN on our servers.
• Usage & Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, session logs, pages visited, interests sent/received, chat metadata, login timestamps, and cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
• Communications: Messages you send through the Platform, support tickets, and correspondence with our team.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Create, display, and maintain your matrimonial profile.
• Recommend matches and calculate compatibility based on your stated preferences.
• Verify identity, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.
• Process subscription payments and deliver premium membership benefits.
• Send service notifications, OTPs, account alerts, and (where permitted) promotional communications.
• Provide customer support and resolve disputes.
• Comply with applicable laws, court orders, and regulatory requests.
• Improve Platform security, performance, and user experience through analytics.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (India)

We process personal data based on your consent at registration, performance of our contract with you (providing matchmaking services), compliance with legal obligations (including KYC and tax requirements), and our legitimate interests in maintaining a safe, functional platform.

5. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only in these circumstances:

• With other members: Profile details you choose to make visible, according to your privacy settings. Contact details are shared only with accepted matches or as per your plan benefits.
• Service providers: Trusted vendors for hosting, email/SMS delivery, payment processing (e.g. licensed payment gateways), analytics, and customer support — bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, or valid government/law-enforcement request.
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with continued protection of your data.

6. Payment Data & Third-Party Processors

Online payments are processed through RBI-authorised payment gateway partners. When you make a payment, you may be redirected to the gateway's secure page. The gateway collects and processes card, UPI, net-banking, or wallet details according to its own privacy policy and PCI-DSS standards. ShadiMatrix receives only transaction confirmation, amount, and reference identifiers needed to activate your subscription. See our Payment Policy for details.

7. Your Privacy Controls & Rights

You may, subject to applicable law:

• Access and update profile information from your account settings.
• Control photo visibility and who may contact you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data by contacting support.
• Request deletion of your account — we will erase personal data except where retention is required by law (e.g. payment/tax records).
• Withdraw consent for non-essential marketing communications.
• Lodge a grievance with our Grievance Officer (contact below) regarding data handling under applicable Indian data protection laws.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. After account deletion, we remove profile content within a reasonable period. Transaction records, invoices, and legally required logs may be retained for up to 7 years for accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes.

9. Security Measures

We use industry-standard safeguards including SSL/TLS encryption in transit, access controls, and secure storage for sensitive documents. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong password and exercise caution when sharing information with other members offline.

10. Children's Privacy

ShadiMatrix is intended only for adults of legal marriageable age. We do not knowingly collect data from persons below 18 years (female) or 21 years (male) as per Indian law. If we learn that a minor has registered, we will delete the account promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, notifying you by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
